A roving event dedicated to creativity in the name of denim, Denim by Premiere Vision kicked off in the amazing frame of pulsing London on Dec 5th and 6th. With plans to hit Milan next June, Denim Industry show to be is more pervasive than ever.

Since its creation in 2007, Denim by Premiere Vision has affirmed itself as a driving force for the international denim community.

Each season for the last 10 years, the show has reinvented itself to better meet the needs of a demanding and versatile industry, and the expectations of brands and of consumers in the constant quest for what’s exclusive and inspiring.

The events focused on a one day/one topic programme:

Wednesday 5th was be dedicated to FASHION.
Thursday 6th to SMART CREATION.

This year, there were 89 exhibitors in total at the London show, an increase of 11 %  from November 2017, representing 18 countries.

Among the attendees, brands like Advanced Denim, Artistic Milliners, Bossa Denim, Calik Denim, and Panama Trimmings marking their return this season.

The Denim PV Fashion Team was back for the Spring Summer 20 season.

This year’s  not-to-be-missed programme encompassed:

  • 3 Trend Seminars: S/S 20 season influences, fits and style + A19W20 fashion-information update

  • Denim making workshops: theory and practice around the secrets of jeans.

  • An exclusive fashion talk with an influential fashion brand.

A key highlight and one of the hottest topics of conversation at the show was regarding sustainability.

Many attendees and exhibitors, as well as the organisers, acknowledged the need for the denim industry to act and innovate.

Moreover, another focus was about doing more to reduce water use and toxic productions.

Notably, Sustainable Trial brought visitors on a guided tour by Helene Smits, a circular fashion strategist.

The visit included weavers included Artistic Fabric and Garment Industries, Artistic Milliners, Bossa, Era Garment and Kilim Denimò.

The aim was to show how they are reducing the impact of denim production.

Denim Première Vision, which took place for the first time outside Paris in London earlier this month, is on the move once again.

Heading to Milan for its next edition in June, at Superstudio Più, it will return to London next December.

This time the connection between fashion and the denim world will be surely more visible.

Just can’t wait for this to happen.
