The CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America) has unveiled the provisional schedule for New York Fashion Week, which will take place from September 8 to September 13, 2023. The participation of 71 designers is confirmed, along with the presentation of additional collections online and by appointment.

The Most Anticipated Collections:

Peter Do, newly appointed Creative Director of Helmut Lang, will open the New York Fashion Week with the presentation of the first show on Friday, September 8th, showcasing his debut collection for the luxury brand.

Raul Lopez, the winner of the “Accessories Designer of the Year” award at the CFDA Fashion Awards 2022, will close the New York fashion week. He will unveil his Spring-Summer 2024 collection for his luxury brand Luar on Wednesday, September 13th.

Gabriela Hearst’s eponymous brand will have its runway show on Tuesday, September 12th. In early July, the luxury house Chloé confirmed the departure of its creative director after three years.

Cos (a part of the H&M group) made its New York Fashion Week debut during the Fall-Winter 2022 season. Now, a year later, the brand will return with an anticipated show on Tuesday, September 12th.

Designer Ralph Lauren will make a grand comeback to New York since his Fall-Winter 2019 collection. His show will take place on the first day of New York Fashion Week, Friday, September 8th. The eponymous brand Jonathan Cohen and luxury label 3.1 Phillip Lim are also returning to New York. They will present their collections on Saturday, September 9th, and Sunday, September 10th, respectively.

“The official schedule for this season’s New York Fashion Week perfectly reflects this spirit and will once again showcase the best of American fashion, whether it’s emerging or established. We are thrilled to see the return of Ralph Lauren, Jonathan Cohen, and 3.1 Phillip Lim to the New York runways, adding new energy to the week.”

New Additions to the Schedule:

This season, the New York Fashion Week will welcome five new participants: Advisry, Chan Chit Lo, FFORME, Grace Ling, and Sho Konishi.

The finalists of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund 2023, including Colin LoCascio, Diotima, Kim Shui, Kozaburo, Melitta Baumeister, Sami Miró Vintage, Tanner Fletcher, Who Decides War, and Zankov, will also join the fashion week’s schedule with presentations of their collections.

Throughout the event, the runway shows and presentations of the brands will be broadcasted on the CFDA’s digital platform, Runway360.
