It’s an exciting time to be in Milano for fashion week this season.

To kick off the fall/winter menswear shows, Gucci presented its first line following Alessandro Michele’s departure. There are plenty of firsts coming up this week too Marco de Vincenzo is making his debut collection for Etro while Charles Jeffrey Loverboy is staging his first show outside of London.

Between Prada, FendiMartine Rose and Dsquared2, milestone moments are abound this January.

In Milano, n the streets, we’re seeing showgoers and fashion’s cognoscenti turning up in oversized jackets, zany blazers and flared trousers.

They’re bringing their best looks forward, showing off their appreciation for classic Milanese styling with plaids in various colour ways and textures. Meanwhile, bold style mavens are incorporating trends like double belting and logomania into their wardrobes. The need for timeless comfort and style is one that appears in blazers and footwear essentials.

As for the dominant palette? Earthy tones and deep blues appear to be a hot favourite amongst menswear enthusiasts at Milan Fashion Week
